Privacy Policy

This policy covers farmcountrybrewing.com, run by Farm Country Brewing at 20555 56 Ave #5, Langley, BC V3A 3Y9. It explains what we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do about it.

We are a brewery and taproom, not a data business. We collect what we need to hold your table, answer your event enquiry, and understand roughly how the site is used. Nothing more.

What we collect

When you reserve a table

Table bookings are handled by Toast, our restaurant booking and point-of-sale system. The booking form on our reservations page is Toast’s, and the name, contact details, date, time and party size you enter go to Toast rather than to this website. Theirprivacy statement applies to what you submit there.

When you enquire about a private event

Your full name, group or company name, contact email, contact phone, the event type, your anticipated date and time, guest count, food preferences, and anything you write in the notes field.

When you simply visit

Standard analytics — pages viewed, roughly where in the world you are, what device and browser you used, and which site sent you. This runs through Google Analytics, loaded by Google Tag Manager. It is aggregate traffic data; we do not use it to identify you personally.

What we never collect here

We do not take payments on this website, so we never see your card details. We have no accounts, no logins and no passwords. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Why we use it

• To hold, confirm or change a reservation, and to reach you if something goes wrong with it.
• To answer a private event enquiry and quote for it.
• To understand which pages are useful so the site gets better.
• To meet our obligations as a licensed establishment.

We do not sell your information. We do not share it with anyone for their own marketing. We will not add you to a mailing list because you booked a table.

Who else handles it

These are the only third parties involved, and only for the jobs listed:

• Wix hosts this site and runs the reservation and enquiry forms, so form submissions are stored on Wix systems. See theWix privacy policy.
• Toast takes our table reservations and runs our tills. See theToast privacy statement.
• Google provides the analytics described above, through Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics. SeeGoogle’s privacy policy.
• Eventbrite sells tickets for most of our events. When you click through to buy a ticket you leave this site and Eventbrite’s own policy applies — we never see your payment details. See theEventbrite privacy policy.

Some of these providers store data outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to the laws of that country.

Cookies

This site uses cookies set by Wix to make the site work, and analytics cookies set by Google to count visits. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, though a form may be less convenient. We do not use advertising cookies to follow you around other websites.

How long we keep it

Reservation details are kept while they are useful for running the business — typically no more than two years. Private event enquiries are kept for as long as the conversation is live and for a reasonable period afterwards, because people often come back a year later for the same party. Analytics data is retained on Google’s default schedule.

Your rights

Under Canadian federal privacy law (PIPEDA) and British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act, you can ask us to:

• tell you what personal information we hold about you;
• correct anything that is wrong;
• delete it, where we are not required to keep it;
• stop using it for a particular purpose.

Keeping it safe

Form submissions are transmitted over an encrypted connection and held in our Wix account, which is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise — but we do not hold payment details or passwords, which are the things most worth stealing.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top. If a change is significant — if we start collecting something new — we will say so on the site rather than quietly editing this page.
